Luke 15:1-10: Parables of the lost sheep and lost coin. There is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than 99 righteous persons who need no repentance. Like the last person in a race, fans cheer the loudest.
The Israelites are representative of all creation. If God wrecked anything, it'd be like cutting off his right hand. You ever heard of the right hand of God? That's us. Of course, we should act like it more often.
