Ezekiel 17:1-10: Story about a vine transplanted to good soil and plenty of water, the vine representing Israel. God asks: will it thrive? Or will it not wither on the bed where it grew?
Romans 2:12-16: Paul takes awhile to get to the point but it seems that it is all well and good to have a lot of laws written down to organize society, but the only law that counts is what's written on their hearts.
Today(March 25th) also celebrates the annunciation of our Lord( Luke 1:26-38) when the angel Gabriel announced to Mary that she would bear Jesus and she said let it be...... There were a few other passages associated with today and they all seemed to say, God doesn't care about sacrifice or ritual, just listen to your heart and do the right thing.
