2nd Chronicles 20:1-22: Judah was being attacked and King Jehoshaphat gathered the people for prayer. God said don't worry, I've got it. Reminiscent of Patton's prayer for clear skies during to the Battle of the Bulge. Hard to to believe God would be on any side in war. Go home people and do something constructive.
Luke 13: 21-30: Someone asks Jesus if only a few will be saved. Jesus says try to enter by the the narrow door, many will try but not make it. Maybe this means not to weigh your soul down with worldly cares. Keep it streamlined. People will say to God, remember me? God says who? The last shall be first and the first shall be last. Ritual, tradition and prayer won't get you anywhere. Get up everyday and do the right thing.
