Joshua 4:14-24: God exalts Joshua in front of the people, so they revere him like they did Moses The reason Joshua sets up 12 stones at Gilgal is so when the children ask what these stones are for, they can tell them it was when God dried up then Jordan. This is good because the people seem to never remember anything of the great deeds of God.
2nd Corinthians 5:6-15: Paul mentions the judgment of seat of Christ where people receive recompense for what they've done. I don't think much of that concept. You live, you die and people remember you, good of and bad.
