Jesus and leadership

Re: my most recent posts on Jesus and leadership: All the commonly accepted dogma about Jesus may well be true and maybe leaders like FDR and MLK deserve their adoration. But for me and a small libertarian segment of the population (less than 1%), believing in someone who is part of  cosmic royalty, who performs miracles, and promises eternal life is kind of out there. The Jesus I gravitate toward is sort of like my father-in-law, a wise Nazareth craftsman who helps his family and community. I've come to the conclusion that most of America adores royalty. Whether it's the British or Saudi royals, or political, religious, sports or entertainment stars. But I go for players like former 1960s Cardinal Dal Maxvill, who goes to the neighborhood pizza joint, is soft spoken and gets the job done.
