Religion

I've never really taken to off the shelf religions. I was raised Christian and I can think thru it intellectually, but never took in my heart. And Christianity abd Navajo religion, which I like for it's teachings of harmony, are both desert religions and I've spent most of my life living in river valleys. I looked up Mandan culture, as they are a river tribe, but didn't seem to fit. I've decided I'm closest to post WWII American service culture. My Dad was a WWII vet and big on seving your country, so I spent 8 years in Coast Guard and when I got out, tried to do my best volunteering for church and community. Since retiring,  I am volunteering with Meals on Wheels kitchen and a community garden and knitting socks. I pray, but it is basically throwing thoughts up in the ether. Figure someone within the galactic cluster will hear them. Might sound kind of shallow but it is the best I can do.
